Here is IE 5.5 SP2 for Windows 95, http://www.hpcfactor.com/downloads/msie/...

Firefox 1.5 does not work on Windows 95.
Conrad's link is good, but the best resource by far for all old and new browsers has to be evolt.org's browser archive. Check it out at [1]. Oh and your specific download is available via [2].

IE 7 or Foxfire???

I am having trouble w/ IE 7 closing out. I know that disabling add-ons can resolve this problem, but I don't think I should have to go through the trouble or finding out which one is causing IE 7 to close. SO.....my Q is this:

For those who use Foxfire, what, if any, problems have you had w/ it?

IE 7 or Foxfire???windows media center

No problems at all with Firefox or Opera. I'm on a PC running Windows XP SP2.

IE 7 or Foxfire???nintendo ds browser internet explorer

Firefox is awesome. The only issue I've had is that some sites (by choice) will only work with IE. Dump IE7! Get Firefox now! You won't regret it!!!!
you mean Firefox. there are no issues with it. I recommend it Highly its customizable. Friendly and fast!
err Firefox

no problems with firefox here. the addblocker and noscript addons are the only reason i use firefox instead of safari on my mac. the addons have never caused me any trouble. firefox is a bit slower than other browsers but hopefully that will be solved in the next version, firefox3.
First of all its firefox... But I prefer Firefox... I find it much more reliable
Just for future reference, it's Firefox not foxfire. I would always suggest using firefox over IE since it's more secure and more stable. Never hard problems with firefox over IE
I quit using IE a year ago. Mozilla Firefox is so much better. I think the only reason microsoft came out with IE 7 is cause firefox has much more to offer, and is more stable. If I were you, I would switch!!
Foxfire?! geez, u misspelled it dear. i did asked this kind of question few months ago. and lots of people would rather choose Firefox. its simply the best. pages loading more faster with Firefox 2 me. and if u really like dat Tabs Browsing feature in IE 7, relax there - the newest and latest Firefox have that.
fire fox is the beast because it fast in its search for websites and it open very fast.(if you want to download it go to, "www.firefox.com"you will download it free" and "full version".
i have Firefox and I LOVE IT.

IE will not open when using YIM?

I had this problem with YIM 7 so I just upgraded to 8 to see if it would fix the problem. When I click on mail from the messenger window, it prompts me whther I want to be logged in automatically or not. I click yes, but IE (my default browser) does not open and I get no e-mail page. Also, when I click to play launchcast, I do not get any sound, or any errors. I've tried turning off my firewall with the same results. It is as if the appropriate registry values are not set for messenger to launch IE. Has anyone fixed this type of problem?

Uninstall Yahoo Instant Messenger, upgrade your browser to IE 7 (or better, Mozilla) and reinstall the latest version.

If that doesn't work, you may have to go to run--%26gt;msconfig to get to the registry to take a look. It's a messy thing though, you should back up the reg before working on it.

How do I check if internet explorer IE is open or not?

Hi everyone,

I have an advertising board at a remote location running a web page (in IE) that displays advertisements. I already have a way of checking to see if the web server is running or not on the remote machine. However, I would also like to remotely check to see if IE is running or not. Maybe some kind of javascript that checks the remote computer for a file when IE is open (and if IE is not open the file does not exist). And if the file exists, than that would mean the IE is open, and it would display something for me saying so. I ope that I have explained myself properly. Basically I want to be able to log into my administration web site and check to see if IE is open or not (on the remote computer) from anywhere in the world. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

You can set up logmein on your server and view its screen remotely to check this. I feel a disaster brewing, though. This means you are running the server in a public place? This is very dangerous.

IE issues: dotted lines not showing up properly?

I'm creating a site using Perl, Mason Site Builder. My layout has a lot of dotted lines. While the dotted lines work well and are seen perfectly in Firefox as they are, in IE they completely suck. In IE, the lines sometimes are blurry, invisible, and in some parts they stick together like lines. I've checked my codes. I've checked everything. Everything is perfect on my end, it must be a browser issue (damn billy gates!) Anyone can help me? PLEASE?

Hello, This is a bug in IE. One of the many irritating things about CSS support in Internet Explorer is that it incorrectly shows dashed borders instead of dotted borders.

IE7 Currently addresses this issue, but prior browsers, you would need to do some workaround.

Take a look at this link for details.

Ie 7 vista problem?

hey there i have ie 7, vista and my ie when i open it just freezes up and doesn't respond it's saying connecting and nothing more tried deleting temporary files does'nt work so what do i do? can smbd help me please?

Ie 7 vista problem?microsoft updates

Type "Internet Explorer" into the search box on the start menu and then select the "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)" option and see if this resolves the problem. If it does then a piece of software has been installed on your computer and is affecting the browser. If you have installed some new software recently trying removing it.

Alternatively try resetting Internet Explorers settings by following the guide on the link below:

sounds like you have spyware, get a good scanner and update it. look in internet options to see what your home is.

The About:Blank homepage hijacker is a variation of a more advanced Cool Web Search hijacker. There are several variants of the About:Blank hijacker and all of them are difficult to remove manually. This hijacker is also referred to as the HomeOldSP hijacker because of the changes to the registry that can be seen as:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,HomeOldSP = about:blank

I suggest you scan your system with an anti-spyware program. The two I suggest are:

1. X-Cleaner Micro Edition online ActiveX scanner found here :http://www.spywareguide.com/onlinescan.p...

The Active X download will pop up in your yellow information bar, download it and install it. If the scanner doesn't pop up right away, click once more on the xcleaner picture on the website, that usually jump starts it.

Remove what suspicious programs it finds.

**Note** The program is in the process between upgrades, you will get a warning that it needs to be updated, ignore the warning and just click on the OK button, the scanner will scan.

2. SuperAntiSpyware Free Trial Home:http://www.superantispyware.com/

Remove what it finds.
